The close-knit community drew the Muths to Des Peres. The family of four includes Sherry, a nursing administrator for Washington University’s Sleep Medicine Center; her husband, Rich, senior director of marketing and new product development at International Mulch Company; and their sons, Jacob and Andrew, enjoy all the social activities offered in their neighborhood and at the boys’ school, Saint Gerard Magella. Sherry spoke with us more about her family’s favorites in Des Peres.
Where do you like to hang out in your neighborhood?
The boys like walking over to The Lodge. There are lots of activities there, such as baseball and swimming. We also frequent the area parks: Des Peres and Sugar Creek.
What’s your neighborhood’s best-kept secret?
The Village Bar—then again, that’s not exactly a well-kept secret!
Carla Borgard, Coldwell Banker Gundaker
Close to highways 270 and 40, and Manchester Road, Des Peres has everything anyone would ever need or want: West County Mall, restaurants, medical facilities, banking and grocery stores. Des Peres City Hall boasts a great park hosting many civic and community events, and friendly people, wonderful family neighborhoods and two excellent school districts—Kirkwood and Parkway—help make it a great place to live.
