Party Ideas for a Sweet 16

Gina Dean, Couture Floral & Rentals... It’s got to be fun! I have adorable chandelier centerpieces for rental in clear, pink and black. We also have pomander or kissing balls in all different colors. You could hang them from the ceiling in all different heights, over the tables or buffet.

Katie Fogerty, Envy Events... Invitations set the tone for the party, and for teenagers it�s always who has the coolest thing or the next biggest thing. Once, we printed the invitations on a poster and rolled it up then mailed it in a poster tube. You could also record a video on a CD and create a custom cover, or send digital invites out on thumb drives.

Katie Fogerty, Envy Events... Once we did an Alice in Wonderland themed party, with one room as the Queen�s Lounge where everything was made out of playing cards. Another room was the Tea Party Lounge, so the tables were covered in Astroturf with glass on the top for the centerpiece, and everything was served out of teacups.

Brian Blasingame, Butler�s Pantry... A great Sweet 16 theme would be a spa or makeover party. For the menu, you can do light cuisine like sushi or things you would get in a spa. Another great route would be a Hollywood theme�you could either pick your favorite movie and take foods from that, or else have things you might find at the movie theater like hot dogs and popcorn.
