Residents of the Creve Coeur area for almost 14 years, Jill and Sean Hunt originally moved to their neighborhood to gain access to the Ladue school district as they began having children. Now parents to 11-year-old Lauren, 9-year-old twins Shannon and Connor and McSorley, the family’s Cavalier King Charles spaniel, the couple enjoys the area and the closeness of the location to other family members. Sean is a director at Express Scripts while Jill works at her family’s property management company, RM of Missouri. We spoke with Jill to learn more about life in Creve Coeur.

What do you like best about living in Creve Coeur?

It’s nice that you’re close to everything. There are grocery stores, shops and restaurants right nearby, but then you’re also 15 to 20 minutes away from anywhere else you want to go. It’s great that the airport is just 15 minutes away—it’s so convenient, but it doesn’t feel like you’re living that close to it. I also appreciate that Creve Coeur is building more sidewalks and making the city more walkable—our kids love to walk up to FroYo.

What are some of your favorite spots around town?

We’ve been going to Bristol’s for years. It’s one of the original seafood restaurants in St. Louis, and it’s always consistently good. It also has great happy hour specials! We also enjoy Oishi Sushi—I think it has some of the best sushi around and it’s very reasonably priced—and the new location of the Wine and Cheese Place is very nice, as well.

What’s an ideal way to spend an afternoon in Creve Coeur?

We would probably go out to lunch—maybe at the new Potbelly Sandwich Shop on Olive—and then to Beirne Park for awhile, which we love. Our kids have always enjoyed the playground, and we like to play tennis there, as well.
