Gayathri Raman, M.D. Family Medicine Physician: Since joining the Clinic physicians six years ago, Raman has focused on women’s health care. My great interest is in treating thyroid and hormonal imbalances, especially with bio-identical hormones she has created for her by a compounding pharmacy that helps women feel good. I also want them to look good, so I offer innovative solutions in skin care. I have a line of physician-grade skin care products and do chemical peels and resurfacing with the new DermaSweep microdermabrasion system. Raman is also featured in regular health segments on Fox 2 News.

Ying Du, M.D. Internal Medicine and Rheumatology: I treat a variety of conditions: rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Sjogren’s Syndrome, osteoarthritis, gout, bursitis, tendonitis, osteoporosis, myositis and fibromyalgia. I’m so happy when patients get better. We have most ancillary services we need in the clinic: X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, bone density testing, stress testing, a laboratory and even a small pharmacy. Here on the Missouri Baptist campus, there is everything else, including CT scans and MRIs.

Sunita Anantaneni, DPM: As an avid runner and mother of toddler twins, I understand the saying that “when your feet hurt, you hurt all over.” I enjoy treating all age groups keeping people active and pain free and on their feet as quickly as possible. I treat a wide range of conditions from toenail problems to bunions and heel pain. Also, being a part of a multi-specialty group in a hospital setting provides a more holistic approach to our patients. Diabetes is just one example of a medical condition that benefits from this resulting in higher patient compliance, convenience and satisfaction.

Humaira Naseer, M.D. Endocrinologist: I like to focus on the preventive aspects of diseases, especially diabetes and osteoporosis. Not enough patients know they are at risk or need to have a bone density test. Post-menopausal women, those taking certain medications like steroids, and those who have had unexplained fractures, are at particular risk for osteoporosis. People at high risk for diabetes have the services of a diabetes educator and dieticians on staff at the Clinic, as well as the testing and laboratory studies to confirm any diagnoses.

The Women of the St. Louis Medical Clinic…

St. Louis Medical Clinic began operations in 1939 and is one of the oldest group multi-specialty practices west of the Mississippi. A variety of medical specialties, as well as an extensive array of advanced diagnostic equipment, is combined to provide patients with convenient medical care. The women physicians profiled reflect the variety of specialties.
