Beach season is right around the corner, and St. Louis boutiques are full of everything you need for looking fabulous at the pool or on your favorite summer getaway. It’s all about hot pink and orange right now, so add some of these sunny colors into the mix and you’ll be ready for the heat!
Everybody’s Wearing...Silk Pants
Vanessa Hudgens and Jessica Alba both love the line Show Me Your MuMu. Bohemian with a touch of retro (the line is based off of re-creating the mumu), the clothes are light, airy and perfect for easy summer dressing. The newest item in the line is the Tipsy Pant. Low-rise, widelegged and semi-sheer (with built-in mini shorts), this pant is long enough to cover your platforms to the ground, or fold over the waist and wear with flip flops. So versatile and easygoing, you might be wearing pants to the beach from now on!
Show Me Your MuMu Tipsy Pant, $160, Available at Klutch and Laurie Solet
I know it’s summer when I start seeing wedges grace the shelves. These warm-weather classics add not only major height, but major style to your summer wardrobe.
The boys are back in town and I’m always looking for something cute to wear to Cardinal games. I was thrilled to find these super-soft Cardinal T’s at Esther. Made by Red Jacket, these t-shirts have a cool, vintage feel to them and an extremely flattering fit. Great for showing your Redbird pride while still looking like your stylish self!

Michael Kors Store Opening
Michael Kors is synonymous with luxury American sportswear and must-have accessories. And now his eponymous store is coming to St. Louis. Slated to open this month in Plaza Frontenac, the store will carry a luxe mix of accessories from both the Michael Kors and MICHAEL Michael Kors labels, as well as ready to wear from MICHAEL Michael Kors. The 1800 square foot boutique will be located in the space previous occupied by Ann Taylor and will feature the chic aesthetic found in the company’s other stores worldwide. “We have been looking forward to entering St. Louis but wanted to wait for the appropriate location in which to debut the Michael Kors brand,” says John D. Idol, CEO of Michael Kors. “Plaza Frontenac is the perfect environment, with its sophisticated mix of shopping and dining. We believe there is ample opportunity for growth in this vibrant market.” We couldn’t agree more.
To most, Ira DeWitt is known as the wife to our Cardinals president, Bill DeWitt III. To others, the founder and CEO of Notifi records, an urban music label based in Brentwood. But to her close friends, she privately wore a third hat as jewelry designer. That was up until now. Ira’s new jewelry line, Sukran, is now being made available to the public through trunk shows and private appointments. A collection of original pieces all set in 18 karat gold using diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones, her designs are a mix of timeless elegance and urban sophistication. And because her father is a diamond and gem dealer, she gets her stones at wholesale so her prices are significantly below retail. “My music business is so serious, I wanted to do something fun and this has been a hobby of mine for some time”. A nod to her Turkish upbringing, Sukran is Turkish for “thank you”. With prices ranging from $500 and up, I think we will be thanking Ira!
