Jackie O., Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly: All are style icons who embodied late 50’s/early 60’s fashion effortlessly. They wore full-skirted dresses, pearls, capri pants, flats—pieces that any stylish woman’s closet should not be without. Their look was timeless then, and is still as relevant as ever today.

Oscar for Kids –

Oscar de la Renta has dressed celebrities and style icons for decades and, lucky for our little ones, he’s now venturing into childrenswear. Sold exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman in New York, you might think you have to hop a flight to get your hands on some of these beautiful pieces. The good news is that Rachel Oliver is hosting a trunk show showcasing the line at her Clayton-area home. Ranging in prices from $55 to $445, and sizes 3 months to age 14, your child is sure to be the chicest in town!

Leona love at Ivy Hill –

One of my favorite shops in town is Ivy Hill in the Central West End. Hillary, the owner, always fills her store with the cutest on-trend clothes, an array of darling handbags and the latest in jewelry. She always knows what girls want to wear. So needless to say, I was thrilled to be introduced to her newest line, Leona. Designed by Southern belle, Lauren Leonard, every piece of Leona achieves the perfect balance of whimsical detailing and sophisticated silhouette. I’m loving the wide-legged sky blue trouser, the whimsical red silk halter top, and that gold skirt suit? Well, let’s just say I’ll be channeling my inner Jackie O. all summer long.

L.L. Bean turns 100

One of America’s most beloved brands, L.L. Bean turns 100 this year. A company known for its deep-rooted tradition of the outdoors, L.L. Bean is celebrating by releasing some heritage-based, limited-edition products, such as the classic Maine Hunting Shoe and Swiss Army Knife to an Anniversary Canoe whose style has been virtually unchanged since the turn of the century (and will run you about $8,000!). All of these, plus their classic boat & totes, parkas and kid’s backpacks are available at llbean.com.

Must Have:

Petite Purses

Oversized bags have been a trend for years and while I always love a roomy purse to tote my things around, I’m really loving the new small bags that I’m seeing everywhere. Petite in shape and usually with a long chain strap, they may only fit your absolute essentials, but your shoulders will thank you!

Everybody’s Wearing...Loafers

This fall, loafers became the ‘it’ shoe. They were seen on Taylor Swift, Sienna Miller and Kate Bosworth. This menswear-inspired shoe trend is continuing into spring and this new style from Seychelles is my favorite take on it. White, lace, leather tassle—they are the perfect mix of boy-meets-girl. And they look great with everything from denim cut-off shorts to your floral party dress!
