Lifelong soccer athlete Katie Ramirez is a personal coach at 20 Minutes to Fitness, a program that uses slow-cadence training and weights to increase full muscle capacity. The goal is to reach full muscle potential so that in just a few short minutes, the body is ready to burn fat. “To combat the aging process, research shows that one of the most important things we can do is build muscle.”
Sarah Tourville is the owner of The Dailey Method, a new studio located in the Village at Schneithorst. The one-hour, full-body workout combines core conditioning, stretching and orthopedic exercises to effectively strengthen, tone and lengthen the muscles in the entire body. “I am stronger and leaner by practicing it—more so than any other exercise I’ve done!” Sarah, a St. Louis native, recently relocated from Chicago to launch her studio.
Angela Coleman, a licensed massage therapist and ACSM-certified personal trainer at The Fitness Edge Saint Louis, certainly knows the hard work and dedication it takes to acquire a toned and sculpted body. “My motto is:You only get one body in life, and like everything else, it requires routine maintenance inside and out.” How does she keep on challenging herself? “Whether it’s training a client or training myself, I try to do things outside of the box and get out of my comfort zone.”
