Ladue News is proud to sponsor Diana, The People’s Princess, a museum-quality retrospective on the life of Diana, Princess of Wales. The exhibit, held as a part of the St. Louis 35th Annual Builders Home & Garden Show at America’s Center, begins Feb. 23 and runs through Feb. 26. A limited number of pre-opening VIP Plus experience tickets offers a tour and Second Breakfast with exhibit owner, Maureen Dunkel; a copy of her book, My Decade with Diana; and a special presentation on the exhibit. Proceeds benefit St. Louis Cares Southeast Alumni, which supports Angels’ Arms foster children. For tickets, call 573-450-6340 or visit www.stlcares.com.
IN 1997, MAUREEN DUNKEL WAS LOOKING for an important textile collection for investment purposes. In the spring of 1997, a well-assembled collection of Diana’s dresses was scheduled to be auctioned at Christie’s. She purchased 13 and later purchased another. Dunkel has since auctioned off four and will have five of her 10 dresses on display at the America’s Center Convention Complex.
