DESIGNER CATHERINE WALKER, who created gowns for Diana for almost 16 years, recognized that the princess was photographed from every angle, so therefore needed to consider the detail on both the front and the back of her gowns. A dark burgundy dress with a long tailcoat is intricately embroidered with gold thread and pearls.
