What inspires you?

I like things that are worn, and touched by the hands of time. I love objects that have character, and need a chance to make it again.

What is your dream project?

In regards to landscaping, I would like to create a Tuscan or old Italian garden using old gates, worn timber, and planters and urns filled with colors and textures that are irresistible.

What inspires you?

There are many things that inspire me, whether it is a family heirloom or a fabric that is the building block of the room. I love the evolving process of design, and how the room comes alive when it all clicks.

How do you know when a room is complete?

Rooms are never completed. Rooms evolve as needs change, and travels are taken and gifts are given. The seasons change, accessories are switched and lifestyles change.

Which room is your favorite to design?

I really love to do gathering spaces, such as living and great rooms. I think creating a space to unite and enjoy each other's company is a wonderful thing to be able to give to a client.

How do you know when your room is complete?

All good design is constantly evolving. Although a room is complete with furniture and arrangement, you are always changing some details. I have clients with 30-year rooms that have been freshened over the years, and still look great.

Jim Graeler, Chesterfield Valley Nursery

What inspires you?

There are so many types of amazing plants that God has created. All the different colors, textures and forms are breathtaking. Natural stone and boulders have a unique imprint of their own. My inspiration often comes from the beauty of these plants and from stone, and their unique characteristics.

Which room is your favorite to design?

Projects that I love to be involved in are those that are challenging, and allow creativity and out-of-the-box ideas. I especially love to work on backyard areas with multiple functions and features, almost as if the yard has its own rooms, like the interior of a home.
