The Trowbridge family has lived in Ballwin for 18 years. Robert is originally from University City, while Lisa hails from Chicago. Lisa says the best thing about the area is its convenience to all the activities that her four children participate in. And between Taylor, 18; Courtney, 16; Matthew, 14; and Kate, 11, that’s a lot of activities!
LN: WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE SPOTS IN THE BALLWIN/ MANCHESTER AREA?
Lisa Trowbridge: We live close to Queeny Park, so the kids ice skate and my son plays hockey, and we also have three dogs that we walk there. My kids also love to walk up to Town & Country Crossing because there’s so much to do there with the Whole Foods, Qdoba and Eugene’s Custard Company.
LN: WHAT ELSE MAKES THE AREA GREAT?
LT: It’s so easy to get anywhere, be it gymnastics at Olympiad in Ellisville, the kids’ schools in Ladue or work. It’s a really affordable place to live and there are so many nice people. It’s great here, but it’s not just one thing. We’ve been happy here for 18 years and the kids are doing well here.

NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES
The location is the key, and the school districts are phenomenal. There also are plenty of recreational opportunities and a variety of different housing styles at different price ranges. Both the cities and the residents maintain the communities very well. It’s a nice location to shop and to work and they’re very involved communities. —Larry Wilson, Coldwell Banker Gundaker
