FRIDAY, APRIL 27

BOYS’ LACROSSE

ROCKHURST AT CBC, 7 P.M.—The defending champion Hawklettes come across the state to take on the would-be challengers. CBC gets a chance to test itself against the state’s reigning champ on its own turf.

WATER POLO

MICDS VS. SLUH AT LINDBERGH, 6:30 P.M.—Two of the area’s top teams meet in the annual Lindbergh Tournament. MICDS is led by local legend Don Casey, who may be the most pivotal water polo coach/player/gadfly in town. He’ll guide the Rams as they take on the Junior Billikens.

SATURDAY, APRIL 28

BASEBALL

PARKWAY SOUTH AT OAKVILLE, NOON—Two of the Suburban West’s top teams duke it out for the second consecutive day. Parkway South is chasing a conference title. Oakville doesn’t have the firepower of its past but always finds itself in the thick of the conference race.

TRACK AND FIELD

MARION FREEMAN INVITATIONAL HOSTED BY CLAYTON AT GAY FIELD, 9 A.M.—This meet features large and small schools competing in their own divisions for supremacy. Among those expected to participate are: Hazelwood Central, SLUH, De Smet, MICDS, Lutheran North, Lutheran South, John Burroughs, Principia and Westminster.

DALE COLLIER INVITATIONAL AT KIRKWOOD, 9 A.M.— Kirkwood’s Dale Collier brings out teams from across the region and state.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

ST. MARY’S INVITATIONAL AT ST. MARY’S, 10 A.M.—This roundrobin event features St. Mary’s, Parkway Central, Westminster and Fort Zumwalt West.

WATER POLO SLUH VS. LADUE AT LINDBERGH, 10 A.M.—A rematch of last year’s title game, the Rams will be out for revenge as they take on the Junior Billikens.

MONDAY, APRIL 30

BASEBALL MICDS AT JOHN BURROUGHS, 4:15 P.M.—The first meeting between the rivals. This will be the only time these two teams play a regular season game on a high school field. Their second matchup is schedule for the first Sunday in May at Busch Stadium at 1 p.m.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

INCARNATE WORD AT LAFAYETTE, 6 P.M.—The Red Knights hope to make the final four. Lafayette makes life miserable for most opponents.

TUESDAY, MAY 1

CBC AT VIANNEY, 4:15 P.M.—A rematch of Metro Catholic Conference powers. Vianney won the first meeting 5-1. The Golden Griffins will try to get back on track after scuffling the middle part of April against a tough schedule.

DE SMET AT SLUH, 7 P.M.—Another pair of MCC powers faces off. SLUH had only three losses on the season. This will be the first meeting between the Spartans and Junior Billikens after rain postponed their last matchup.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

CBC AT SLUH, 7 P.M.—CBC wants to be in the state championship conversation. SLUH, more often than not, is in that conversation. If the Cadets could find a way past their rivals, it would be a huge step in the right direction.
