> Provisions Gourmet Market in Creve Coeur will soon be closing its doors. We’re told that while the company is shuttering that store, it will be opening up a fourth location of The Wine & Cheese Place June 1, at 457 N. New Ballas Road.

> After three years of owning and operating The U in Midtown Alley, ADAM KUSTRA has rejoined the family business, Kemoll’s Italian Restaurant, on the 40th floor of the Met Square Building downtown. The CIA graduate will be helming the restaurant’s new lunch service, among other duties.

> RYAN SEXTON has been tapped as the new executive chef at Ernesto’s Winebar in Benton Park.

>  Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier is a Silver Finalist twice over for the 2011 sofi Awards, bestowed by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade. The company is in the finals in the Chocolate category for its Chocolate-Covered Wine Grapes, and the Confection category for its Lemon Ginger Yuzu Gummy Pandas. Winners will be announced July 11 at the Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C.

> St. Louis Brewery, makers of the fine Schlafly line of beers, was ranked 42 in the Brewers Association’s 2010 list of Top 50 Craft Brewing Companies in the U.S., based on beer sales volume. Well done!

>  Chef MIKE WARHOVER of Terrene has debuted his new spring menu, featuring all sorts of dishes with the best that local purveyors have to offer. Chef Mike tells us he’s particularly proud of the pork confit.

> Local food bloggers, along with dedicated amateur bakers, will be selling their baked wares Saturday, May 14,  at Share Our Strength’s National Food Blogger Bake Sale at Sappington Farmer’s Market, 8400 Watson Road. All proceeds will go to fight childhood hunger.

> Looks like a new restaurant, Taste Wood Fired Fare, is going in at Hanley Station on Hanley Road. No details available yet, but we’ll keep you up-to-date.

> Altai Mongolian Grill is scheduled to open May 7 at 9528 Manchester Road in Rock Hill. We’re told it’s the first U.S. location for this Mongolia-based chain. Talk about authentic!

> Congrats to mixologists TED KILGORE of Taste and T.J. VYTLACIL of DeMun Oyster Bar. The two took first place in the Fancy Spirited Cocktail and the Fruit Forward Long Drink categories, respectively, in the 2011 Ultimate Mix Off Challenge. They’ll compete against winners from other areas in New York City on May 14. LN
