Great Harvest Bread Company, which recently moved from Olivette, and La Cosecha Coffee Roasters have teamed up to provide customers with top-notch coffee and bread at 7360 Manchester Road in Maplewood. "We're sort of roommates" jokes La Cosecha co-owner JAMIE JESCHKE, since the two businesses are sharing the space and each one is operating as a separate entity. The idea, according to Jeschke, is for each company to do what it does best and complement the other. In addition to its coffee bar operation, La Cosecha also is roasting its coffee onsite.

Fans of Fozzie's Sandwich Emporium in Richmond Heights now have another location to frequent for gourmet sandwich creations. The popular restaurant recently opened space No. 2 at 11656 Manchester Road in Des Peres.

We recently got word that Seoul Taco's new-ish brick-and-mortar location at 571 Melville Ave. in the U-City Loop is now open Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for fans who can't wait until Monday for their Korean taco fix.

This year, folks attending the first night of the the popular Schlafly Bottleworks Art Outside event will have plenty of dining options, with the addition of Food Outside. On Friday, Sept. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m., local businesses, including Tiffany’s Original Diner, Pie Oh My, Maya Cafe, The Crow's Nest and Home Wine Kitchen will be setting up shop in the adjacent lot at 7300 Manchester Road. There also will be live music. Art Outside will be held Sept. 6 through 8.

The Excel Bottling Company is throwing a party to celebrate the first anniversary of the Excel Brewery and the release of its much-anticipated, high-gravity beer, Ryeday the 13, a hearty brew aged six months in Templeton Rye Whiskey barrels. The event is open to the public and will be held at the Excel Brewery in Breese, Ill., on Sept. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $30, and include a 750-ml. bottle of Ryeday, a commemorative glass, 10 four-ounce beer pours, and food and music.
