JOSHUA’S BOOTS Visit the Touhill Performing Arts Center as Opera Theatre of Saint Louis tells the story with a cast of students from across the metro area. The opera is perfect for young people as it tells the story of a black teenager who flees from his Tennessee home to seek opportunity in the American West. When racial violence leaves Joshua without a father, he soon finds himself in Dodge City, where he is hired by an ex-Confederate ranch owner. Watch as the young man succeeds as a cowboy and makes a life for himself. School performances will be held in the mornings. A public performance will be held on Nov. 18 at the Touhill. $6, school performances; $12, Touhill show. 963-4251, 516-4949 or experienceopera.org.
