The St. Louis Poetry Center presents “The Outreach Poets: Live for the Cameras!” for “Poetry at the Point” on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 7:30 pm at the Focal Point, 2720 Sutton Blvd., in Maplewood (63143). Free. A donation for the Outreach Programs is welcome at the door. Doors open at 7 pm, or come early to the adjoining Maya Café. Experience the power of poetry and its impact in the community! Join us as we film an encore performance featuring the diverse poetry from our Outreach Poet Educators and their students.

Jennifer Fandel, Jane Ellen Ibur, Susan Grigsby, Meru Muaddib, Rennell Parker, Glendal Wallace, Matthew Freeman and Aaron Williams will give an enlarged replay of the amazing and inspiring October reading at this location.  Come witness our team of outreach poets affecting students in classrooms, summer and after-school programs; and reaching adults, in shelters, treatment centers, the county jail and community centers.
