One Billion Rising - Ladue News: Other

Saint Louis, MO

Join Safe Connections and participate in a worldwide social justice movement, demanding the end of violence against women and girls. ONE BILLION RISING began as a call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. On Feb. 14, Safe Connections will join millions across the world to demand change, strike and dance.

Registration is free, but required through www.onebillionrising.org or by contacting Katie Flaschar at 314.646.7500 x123 or Katie@safeconnections.org. Upon RSVPing , you will receive a video tutorial of the choreography via email.

This dance event is sponsored by Safe Connections—St. Louis’ oldest and largest locally-founded nonprofit focused on preventing violence and serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault—and supported by the Missouri History Museum’s Avenues to Activism Series.
