The SBA St. Louis District Office is presenting a free Affordable Care Act (ACA) seminar in St. Louis on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. SBA staff and the Small Business Majority will present information specifically for small business owners. Topics will include which companies must offer insurance in 2015, individual insurance requirements, site walkthrough, Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Marketplace, potential tax credits, and other pertinent information. Small business owners will be able to see insurance plans which are available locally and discover some of ACA’s benefits.

SBA St. Louis District Director notes, “Many small business owners want to offer health insurance to their employees. That benefit is now within financial reach of more small businesses.” He continues, “Additionally, the Affordable Care Act has made entrepreneurship an option for people who previously had to remain on an employer plan. A preexisting condition won’t preclude entrepreneurship.”
