In this workshop, playwrights and other authors of dramatic writing, explore a technique designed to unveil their inner muse freely, holistically, and with an organic approach to non-realistic, non-linear dramatic structure. Based upon the teachings of Bert O. States (Paula Vogel’s professor at Cornell) and the phenomenology of dreaming and fiction, playwrights will discover a powerful dream-based method to explore plot, character, play ideas, style, and more. Writers should bring laptops, writing pads, etc., as this is a hands-on writing workshop, and students will be writing from the moment they enter the class until they leave.
