The Orchid Society of Greater St. Louis is holding their monthly meeting at 7:30pm in the Missouri & Botanical Rooms at the Missouri Botanical Garden on April 11, 2014. The topic is Paphiopedilums as presented by our guest speaker, Dr. Harold Koopowitz.

Dr. Harold Koopowitz is Professor Emeritus of Biology in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Irvine. After growing up in South Africa, he received his doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is an internationally known hybridizer of slipper orchids and miniature daffodils. Also, he is the past editor of Orchid Digest and is the author on numerous publications.

If you have any of his books, please bring them to the meeting for signing. Books will not be for sale at the meeting.

Anyone with an interest in orchids is encouraged to attend. Should you have any questions or concerns about orchids, our members are always eager to assist.
