Kid City, one of the event’s most visited family-centric attractions, brings parents the best family-focused resources in the region. And of course – it goes without saying – the kids love it too!
Visitors to this year’s Kid City will enjoy a variety of fun and educational experiences, including:
Kid City Hospital ER, presented by SSM Cardinal Glennon. This exhibit helps children and parents to get comfortable should an unexpected trip to the ER happens. Families get to visit an exam room, check blood pressure and learn to take vitals. There is also a fun photo opp for kids to dress up in doctor coats!
Bicycle & Safety Town – an interactive, life-size cityscape helping children and families learn to safely navigate city streets. The first 100 children each day ages 10 and under receive a free bike helmet and fitting! In addition there will be an area for kids to measure themselves, to see if they are really big enough to ride in a different seat or to ride in the front seat of the car.
Ready, Set, Recycle! Through games and activities, kids learn about what can and can’t be recycled and how we can all care for our planet! Explore single-stream recycling and learn great new ways to “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!”
American Eagle Kid’s Credit Union promotes math and computational skills. Kids fill their piggy bank by earning $ stickers in fun and simple math games. A filled piggy bank gets a $5 gift certificate to open or deposit into their own savings account!
Calling all Umi Friends!- The #1 Nickelodeon pre-school program, Team UmiZoomi are bringing their mighty math powers to Kid City. Everyone leaves with a picture compliments of Germ-X.
Usborne Book Fair & the Reading Nook presented by St. Charles and St. Louis County Libraries. This exhibit Kid City’s initiative to promote early literacy and the importance of parents reading or being read to by their children. Kids will play literacy games like shape sorting, puzzles, and building blocks. There will also be a place for kids to get creative and show off their Picasso like talents with our art wall! The first 200 kids 12 & Under each day, will receive a gently used book!
Kid City is putting an emphasis on what families are eating and how much they are eating at home and on the go within the New My Plate and Kids Kitchen Area! Getting kids active in the kitchen teaches them science, math & healthy eating habits!
The Big Top is a fun venue where kids and parents can enjoy performances by Tekno Bubbles, The Everyday Youth Circus, Jeff the Juggler, Magician Brent Lowenstein and the Reptile Experience.
