The one-week camp is $500 and includes a daily lunch and cooking materials. Students also receive printouts of all the recipes that they are taught to take home with them.

Students are taught how to make pizza and flatbreads, chocolate soufflé, truffles and how to plate desserts. They also learn how to make pasta and mozzarella cheese and how to stuff and make sausage. Each camper is taught to recognize and taste various cheeses as well as how to create week-night meals. In addition, campers will learn to create ‘mocktails’, homemade ice cream and smoothies.

Camp concludes with students in the 12-14 age group inviting their parents to the close of the Friday session for a restaurant meal re-creation where they show off the skills that they have learned throughout the week.

All classes are taught at the L’Ecole Culinaire campus, 9811 South Forty Drive in Ladue. Class size is limited, so early registration is preferred. To register for this summer class log on to or call 314-264-1999.
