The Community Music School of Webster University is proud to present the Percussion Ensemble’s Spring Concert on Sunday, April 14, 2013.  Under the direction of Erin Elstner the program will consist of a variety of percussion works, which explore themes ranging from whimsical to playful to traditional.  The program includes Abe’s Dream of the Cherry Blossoms based on a traditional well known Japanese folk song; Adagietto based on Mahler’s famous fourth movement from his Fifth Symphony arranged by Jeffrey Grubbs; Maslanka’s Variations on Lost Love which explores a range of emotions from light-hearted to whimsical; and many more selections.
