The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Gateway Chapter (LLS) will be hosting its 4th Annual Hunt for a Cure family egg hunt on Sat., April 12 from 11 a.m. to noon in Queeny Park. The LLS Bunny will arrive via helicopter to greet thousands of children who will be hunting for 60,000 eggs filled with toys and wrapped candies stuffed by 55 area senior centers. Thanks to Macy's, there will be a golden egg with a spring wardrobe gift certificate hidden in each of four age-appropriate bunny trails. Other egg-citing activities include appearances from your favorite nursery rhyme characters, face painting, educational health booths, a petting zoo and photo opportunities with the LLS Bunny. Cost is $10 donation per family and proceeds will stay in the community and benefit local patient services and blood cancer research. Pre-registration is available online. Bags for the hunt will be provided.
