Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design is pleased to announce the opening reception of its biennial exhibition Works from the Studios on Friday, June 27th from 5:00-8:00pm in its Delmar Loop Gallery. This exhibition features art from working students and artists who keep the Craft Alliance studios alive with creativity. Craft Alliance believes in celebrating those individuals who continue to explore arts education; it is these artists that bring energy and excitement to the Craft Alliance education centers every season.
These education centers serve adults and children through instruction and demonstration by professional artists in clay, glass, metal, fiber, wood, 2D, and 3D graphics classes. Entry-level, intermediate, and advanced classes and workshops are offered throughout the year, providing a welcoming environment for the creation and education of fine crafts in the St. Louis region. A community exists in our studios where emerging and advanced craft artists take classes and workshops, gaining knowledge and skills to further their creativity. This biennial juried exhibition represents the quality work created by artists who have been inspired in the studios of Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design.
This year’s exhibitions has been juried by John Baltrushunas, Director of the Studio Art Program, Director of the Morton J. May Foundation Gallery, and Associate Professor of Art at Maryville University. Prizes will be distributed during an awards ceremony at 6:30pm during the opening reception.
