Expect the unexpected during Reset at the Pulitzer. Taking place during short periods between exhibitions, this unconventional series of programs opens the building for new encounters. Reset offers a broad spectrum of immersive and participatory experiences, providing new ways to engage with visual art, music, dance, film and performance in the Pulitzer gallery space.

For the first iteration of Reset, artist David Scanavino transforms the main gallery with a site-specific floor sculpture Candy Crush. Scanavino considers his installations social spaces and invites visitors to move freely on the piece and subsume oneself in its colorful, geometric design.

Experience Vanity Projects – a New York nail art atelier and video art gallery in the Pulitzer space. Founder Rita de Alencar Pinto curates GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS, a dynamic program of video works by emerging and established contemporary artists and leading celebrity nail artists Nail Swag and Britney Tokyo from L.A., and Spifster from Chicago. Nail designs inspired by David Scanavino’s Candy Crush. Free admission. Manicures are $10 and can be booked in advance at programs@pulitzerarts.org. Appointments include basic color polish with designs on two nails. Remaining openings will be filled that evening on a first come, first serve basis.
