Monsanto House of the Future will present a new performative lecture consisting of a video, voiceover and live score and a complimentary publication that considers climate change as seen through speculative architecture and our changing views of the future.

The project is a long-term, ongoing series, but the components proposed for the Marfa Dialogues are:

1) Performative lecture: The performative lecture will consist of a new video piece with a live score created by St. Louis-based silent film composers the Rats and People Motion Picture Orchestra. The lecture would take Monsanto’s initial advertisements as a starting point for both the video and score and would lead into a narrative that follows the central project arc.

2)Publication: Short publication that is a distributable extension of the lecture and video. The publication will be distributed to the audience at the lecture, at other Marfa Dialogue events and at art book stores following the Dialogues.
