This class will focus on 8” x 10” relief prints. Students will design an image to be carved in either wood or linoleum. The design may either be for a single relief block print or multiple blocks. We will cover carving & printing basics. Printmakers will use water-based color relief printmaking inks and non-toxic clean up supplies (provided by The Artists' Guild), though oil based inks can be used. Students should work on design ideas before the first class to enable getting started with the printmaking process as soon as possible. Also, advanced students may already have print blocks. If so, you may bring these to work on as well. This class is open to beginner, intermediate or super advanced printmakers. For ages 18+.
