Learn how to make your paintings POP with color! Color is one of the most powerful elements of painting, and the thoughtful application of color can make the difference between a good composition and an electrifying one. In this class, students will explore color theory in art history and contemporary art, study different types of color harmonies, learn color mixing and paint application techniques, and sharpen their perception of color by creating still life and portrait studies. By the end of this class, students will have refined their sense of color, and learned how to use color theory to create paintings with more energy and power. This class is for students 18+.
