"Painting is by nature a luminous language." The words of painter Robert Delaunay ring true still today as the power of painting bridges language barriers, connects generations, and crosses cultures. Luminous Language is a juried exhibition celebrating the universal art of painting. The exhibitionruns Friday, March 29 – Friday, May 10, 2013 and is free to the public and open for viewing during regular FAC hours. Nationally renowned artist Matthew Cornell has juried an excellent collection of paintings from across the nation for Luminous Language and the exhibition’s award winners will be announced at the opening reception. The opening reception is Friday, April 5, 2013 from 6-8pm. The public can enjoy free food & drink along with artful conversation and observation. The artist studios on the second level of the Foundry will also be open to the public for visiting. The opening reception for Ameristar Gallery artist Snail Scott is also Friday, April 5, 2013.
