Play. Break Dancing. Nail Art. Drag. Yoga. Experience the Pulitzer in ways you never expected with Reset, an unconventional series of programs happening January 17-25, 2014. Times and programs vary each day.

 Celebrate the history of hip hop with a day of break dancing and street art. Mr. Freeze, from the legendary Rock Steady Crew and creator of the Ultimate B-boy Championship, comes to the Midwest in search of the next ultimate B-boy. Watch a b-boy (break dancing) battle emceed by Mr. Freeze with cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place; learn breaking, transitions, freezes, quick stops, top rocking and the art of battling with a break styles class; attend film screenings that exemplify the power of dance and street art. Free admission. 

Mr. Freeze has received worldwide recognition including appearances in films such as Flash Dance, performing for the Queen of England, serving as Michael Jackson’s personal street style dance teacher, and lecturing internationally about B-boy culture.

1 pm     Break Styles Dance Class 

2 pm     Ultimate B-boy Championship Open: Preliminary Round

3 pm     Film Screening: The Freshest Kids: A History of the B-Boy and Q&A with 

Mr. Freeze

5 pm     Ultimate B-boy Championship Open: Final Four 

6 pm   Ultimate B-boy Championship Open: Winners Announced
