This hands-on workshop is open to individuals with no experience in printmaking or photography, those with lots of experience, and all individuals in between. During the workshop you will create unique cyanotype prints, also known as sun prints or blue prints using objects from nature, everyday objects, hand-drawn images, and possibly photographs. Participants with experience in black and white darkroom printing can bring their own 35mm negatives to turn into larger negatives up to 8x10” for contact printing. This is one of the oldest photographic processes still practiced by artists today. It is fun, easy to learn, and results in beautiful prints. Plus, since cyanotype printing does not require a darkroom or a printing press, you will be able to continue to make these prints at home with just a few materials. For ages 18+.
