‘Bridging Cultures’ – collage & prints by Bulgarian American artist, Galina Todorova - Ladue News: Art Happenings

Grand Opening of International Senior Center and Art Exhibit: Wednesday October 23rd 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Art offered at discount prices during the Opening. Free and open to the public. Refreshments served.

Galina Todorova currently works as an artist in Bulgaria where she was born and received her formal art education. Her sensitive pencil and ink portraits and figures reflect the humanness of her subjects and confirm art as a bridge for understanding among all cultures. Newly framed for exhibiting, pen and ink collage, dry point and linocut prints in this show are handmade originals.

Living in the USA for six years from 2004 to 2010, Galina Todorova actively participated in the Saint Louis artist community while working at the Saint Louis Art Museum as a gallery attendant and earning her USA citizenship. She received an outstanding artist award from the Saint Louis Artists’ Guild in 2009 for her entry in the Portraits Around the World exhibit.

In addition to numerous exhibits in Bulgaria, Galina Todorova’s art has been included in juried shows at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild, Art Saint Louis, Schlafly's Art Outside Festival, University City Library and the Tavern of Fine Arts. The ADMIN Gallery of the St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley and Northwest Coffee Company selected Galina’s drawings and prints for solo exhibits.
