Do you have found or sentimental objects that you would love to display in a unique way? Learn to combine your vintage toys, feathers, shells, rocks, family snapshots, etc. into 3-D assemblage. You will need to bring an old wood box, drawer, cabinet door or cigar box as the basic structure you will be working in. We will discuss the process of making an assemblage and share ideas while working independently in a group setting. Laura Lebeda will bring in some of her assemblages, talk about her process, content, themes and inspiration. We will look at images of other artists’ such as Joseph Cornell and Louise Neveson. You’ll receive both practical and aesthetic advice as you construct your work of art using your items that you bring to the class.

Please Note: If you are bringing family photos or other personal papers, please make copies in advance to use in your artwork. For ages 16+.
