Every year, several artists specializing in clay, metals, and fiber further their artistic practices in Craft Alliance’s Grand Center studios. This year’s residents were Hunter Creel (metals), Ed Carroll & Vita Geluniene (community activism/fiber), Jenna Jacobs (fiber), Barbara Knuth (metals), Ruth Ann Reese (clay), and Evan Wagman (clay).
Each artist brought their own unique vision to Craft Alliance, and the work being displayed reflects the breadth of artistic approaches in the use of craft media. From Hunter Creel’s playful, colorful, cartoon-inspired metal sculptures to Ruth Reese’s surreal ceramics evoking mythological creatures, Ed Carroll & Vita Geluniene’s community activism, and Evan Wagman’s intimately-scaled, detailed ceramic sculptures, this exhibition will present a dynamic picture of what artists are doing in the field of contemporary craft today.

Opening Reception: Friday, June 13, 6:00-9:00pm
