Many contemporary paintings and sculptures pay homage to Pablo Picasso, one of the 20th century’s most influential artists, credited with helping to launch the Cubist movement and inventing constructed sculpture. In Cubist artwork, objects were analyzed, broken up and reassembled in an abstracted form, providing a multitude of viewpoints to represent the subject in a greater context.
